Hi everyone,
Do you think it is wise to add one or two 'True SAE' (Crossocheilus Siamensis) to the discus tank?
I have quite a bit of of BBA in my tank and am constantly trimming leaves, taking...

Hi Mitsui,
Its best if you can get all your discus the same size and at the one time, that way they will sort themselves out. If you have some smaller discus, they may be bullied and not able...

What a pity!! Thats what happened with my discus... one was laying the eggs on a leaf and another was sucking them right up behind her!
Apparently breeding chain loaches is a rare event, they are...

Thanks for your advice Illusn, I would love to see them spawn!
I have turned the temp. in the discus tank down a little to 27.5C but I guess the temp should not be much lower for the discus. I...

Great Idea!!
I would be interested in lighting including UV, Seachem Flourish, Eheim Canister Filter pads, basically products which need regular replacement. Maintenance can be expensive!

Try to squeeze the dried worms together to almost a small marble size and just let the fish feed from your hand. Or you can buy the worms in cubes and stick to the glass.
You do not have to worry...

Oh My God, you were so lucky!!!
It seems as though the fish were slowly being poisoned by the air outside and around the tank. So good you were home in time to deal with this massive problem.

Thanks for all the info TW, the CO2 Control System is the way to go. The idea of PH being controlled automatically in conjunction with CO2 is a fantastic ida and less stressful. May be expensive...

The pH controller sounds like a good thing to have. Is it the same as a CO2 indicator? I saw a dupla brand in the LFS and was wondering if it would be a good to add.
I have used a shell media to...

Thanks Atti, Matt, TW and Illusn, this is a good conversation! I can tell you adding CO2 is nerve racking and little scary. My tank is 6ft long so big enough to be able to handle it. The reactor...

Hi everyone,
I have just added a (Aqua Medic) CO2 set up and was wondering what the best bubble rate would be for both discus and plants.

I totally agree with you Marrilyn it certainly is the best fish food on the market!! I have tried and thrown away lots.
