OK I have had these guys for a few months now. They did get a little pepper in the planted tank but otherwise I think they are really nice looking. They are still shy, but tell me what you think? I...

Amazons are not demanding. They do need good substrate or root tabs since they are heavy root feeders though. And med light or higher for best results.

The plants might be needing more light than that. In a low tech tank you should not need to add ferts, but you might get those lights on for at least 6 hrs a day on a timer if you need to (makes it...

You could also add more flow via a powerhead to help keep things stirred up to give it a chance to get into the filter.
I definitely agree with adding more nutrient sucking plants like hygro and...

I KNOW....I can't beleive I ordered from a place with a name like that....my husbans STILL laughs at me for it. I guess I figured it was clever...not just flat out definition of their business!

Just curious if discus are kept with cardinals or other tetras from the time they are juvies would they grow up NOT thinking of the cardinals as food?

I just ordered from them too :( My discus had to be treated for infections since they didn't fare well in shipping. I ordered 6, I now have 3. :( Anyway. I second the recommendation to go to...

Maybe you could put the cones closer together? Then they will see it's there...then slowly move it to the other side? Just a thought.
I have had this issue with my angelfish. Three are visibly...

I will definitely be looking into breeders vs. high volume internet sellers. And closer is probably better although airport to airport would not be bad.
I am going to wait a while to get any more....

Here is one last picture. It is the best of the ones I was able to take today. This is of the only two that remain in the 46 gallon tank.

Here are some pictures of the discus I received. I am in the US and the place I ordered from is in Florida, and they seem to only do business via email/internet.

Yes they are the same ones I posted about on simply discus. I will post some pics here too. I don't beleive they have any intention of making it right as their guarantee clearly states that if your...

I am not sure if I am supposed to say....but...it is among the top web site searches for discus.....paid google ads show up on this site....and the name is more of a statement than a clever musing to...

Well I put the small one in a 10 gal tank by itself today with some salt. It just kept getting darker and hanging out away from the group.
It was struggling to stay upright as there was a lot of...
