I picked up 3x 1" BDs for $60 total and also 3x 1.5" Red turks for $70 from their Gold Coast store.
They're a little smaller than I normally buy, so I'll wait and see how they go. After 2 weeks...

Thanks ladyred.
I got the results of the necropsy last Friday.
Thankfully it isn't fish TB. I was surprised at the "water exchange or filtration" result. I do a weekly sand vacuum on the...

Speaking of which, George just got several new titles in, some signed by the author, who visited the shop last week.

Thanks.
Unfortunately the large sections of missing fresh is a little harder to explain. It looks like something took several large bits out of it. While this could indeed be true, I find it hard...

Update: I called several LFS asking for recommendations for vets. No luck. I called a couple of vets looking for referrals but kept getting referred to a vet who moved to Tasmania years previously.

I think I might have an outbreak of Fish TB in my main 5x2x2 tank.
Yesterday I noticed one of the adult bristlenoses with several body lesions approximately 10mm in size. At first I though...

I bought a juvenile Checkerboard from GnS a few months back. At the time they had half a dozen or so and they were priced around $65. The above pic was taken at GnS of the actually fish for sale at...

AoA (a sponsor) have them for $67.50.

Around 5-6cm. $9-$12. Females are harder to get. I'm told they don't travel well, so sourcing them locally after they have settled in for a week or two should minimise losses.

The above is George's "old" pricing. IIRC the 500g tin is now $40.

Just because you CAN post to the forum while naked, doesn't mean you should post pics of you doing it.

If you mean hiding in the plants, then yes, yes they are.

That's why I recommend people use a small sponge roller and a small tin of paint rather than spraycans. No chance of drift. You can get "sample size" plastic trays and rollers in Bunnings for $2....

Got 2 pair of Blue Rams from G&S today for my small planted community tank. :D
I'll take a few photos once they settle in. If they do well over Christmas I might get a few more. I'm also...

Average seems to be around 8-10cm. I've got several 10cm specimens. My LFS had a single female that was at least 15cm, but at $60 I wasn't buying. They sold it a few days later.

That's pretty good.
I bought two pairs of bns (separately) over the last 3 or so months. All supposed reliable breeders. Haven't had a single new egg. Paid $50 for one pair, $60 for the other....

How about a new section on suitable tankmates for discus?
Seems a logical addition to the line up. It could cover topics like "is fish X a suitable tank mate?" "anyone recommend an algae eater...

Did you look at Rod's site? It's right there under price list - Ocean Green 5cm $50
Pointing out the obvious since 1962

I'm miles ahead of you. Now I just run the hose straight onto the power points. Although it does lack that excitement of not knowing exactly when I'll be electrocuted.

I can see where you're going with those holes now. Unfortunately your idea to give the fish "breathing holes" won't work. Once the water level rises past the holes it will leak out. Most...

Arrrhhh! Finally got HL2 today, from Canada, and the 5th CD is corrupt!
Now I'll have to send it back (2 weeks & $12) and wait for a replacement (another 2 weeks) before I can play it.
I asked if...
