Your disucs will not appreciate spending all night awake considering BGK are nocturnal. They will likely stress your discus out. I would not keep them together for this reason.

I'd say it is ammonia, and it has probably done the damage already. It could also be that your temperature is too high, 30 is usually fine but the higher the temperature the less oxygen in the water....

Have seen somthing 'similar' to this before in a white swan x brown SS. The fish i seen was more of an OB type fish but i'm guessing it could be some sort of white swan/snake skin cross.
