When you say no bracing do you mean there isn't a panel running front to back in the centre at the top? Some tanks just rely on the thin strip that runs along the top of the long panes that the lids...

I like them too but my Missus doesn't. Maybe she just needs a pair in the living room for a while to get used to them.
