Thanks. I've got a 4x T8 * power glo's in there now and they are only 2 months old... Might try and see how many of the t8's I can keep with the new T5 fittings :wink:

Fantastic you can now get retro fit kits :D :D :D :D . i can only fit 39W globes inside my hood though. This would be the best solution but may end up being more expensive than a hole new T5...

Hmmm, if I see any side effects tonight I'll stop the Excel treatment and rely on my SAE's to do their job. The twisted val is one of my favorite plants (when healthy) so I don't wish to kill it off....

I set up my diy co2 as per flippers excellent instructions but maybe my tank is more heavily stocked or has less plants producing O2 during the day.
Anyhoo, it is set up to turn the diffuser off...

Are you using CO2 as well? I've been double dosing for 4 days with no side effects yet. BBA is still prevelent but my new SAE's are munching down and growing fast :D .
