It's not really clear if you've cycled your tank yet or not? Is your bacteria building up still, i.e. are you cycling your tank? If it is let it build up :-)

The first one can be called a blue snakeskin,
or just snakeskin if you like. Not a cobalt. Cobalts look more like blue diamonds with visible stressbars.
Your's has more than 8 or 9 stress bars...

If you're new to discus and haven't played much around with meds I wouldnt recommend using potassium permanganate. If you get the dosage wrong you can easily damage and maybe even kill your fish....

I've lost 3 panda cory's in my discus tanks very quickly and I think it's the temperatures. I've heard of some doing it successfully but generally speaking I don't think they're suitable for the warm...

I'm with ozarowana, its hex. had a similar thing once, some discus gurus suggested it was a protozoa infection, worms don't look like that.

Canadian sphagnum or German sphagnum peat is what I heard people use. you have to watch out because some peats have chemicals added to them.
