The most important thing with discus is water stability. My Ph is 7.4 and i have eggs atm in my community tank. Keep it simple they will thrive and breed if parameters stay stable.

Great to hear from you Scott. Never did get to travel, ended up needing spinal surgery 3x. Has taken me ages to get over it. So sold the farm, live in town now but still got a tank setup this...

How big is the room?
I had a 6x3 metre room with 14 tanks on one 4ft sump it heated well with 2x 300watt eheims then I filled the rest of the room with tanks and water thats the key fill the void...

Let them pair naturally and lay a few times in the communnity tank that will help to cement their bond before you try and move them to a breeding tank.
