what exact MH did you get? as in what wattage and is it double ended or single ended bulb? i find single ended ones tobe hardest to find. I presonally use 2x 150w double ended 10,000k arcadia bulbs...

I have some tiger lotus and red lotus for sale or trade. its pick up only coz i dont know how to post them. sorry..

attached is the pic of the huge tiger lotus. all still growing very well...

they look like platinum angles. but then again they look a little yellow. my platinums are completely white with a tinge of green pearl. feeding them is easy. they love bloodworms and any slowsinking...

and suck up as much of it as you can when you change water.
worst comes to worst you might have to do a complete blackout

look for a good silica based pool filter sand. much much cheaper than stuff you get at an LFS and next to zero affect on water parameters

i leave mine on 24/7. if you are worried about PH fluctuations, put a bag of shell grit in your filter and set your timer to switch on the air stone for a few hours during the night.
