Yeah, I've tried pricing it to entice a sale, but I realise it may not suit everyone.

6.0 is fine.. Stability is extremely important, as is the rate of change if you wish to adjust it. It must be done slowly over a period of a couple of days at best.
If your tank is stable at 6.0,...

I agree with removing the favoured food type. They'll eat when they're hungry enough. Depending on the size of your fish, crushing the bits slightly between your fingers may help them get it down....

I have a canister with spray bar on a 4ft tank. I have the spray bar at the bottom of the tank and the pick up at the opposite end. I did it this way as I don't like the noise of the water splashing...
