as long as u do it over an hr or so u will be fine, iv'e had royals in with discus at 30c and even up to 35c for brief periods over summer and my longnose whips live in 28c and have done so for a cpl...

we also sell pot nitrate direct to the public/farmers IE: 25kg/1000kg bags or more and at the moment there is no ID needed to to buy the goods or chem certs etc. but there are rumors things are going...

potassium nitrate isn't commonly used in bomb making TW, ur thinking of ammonium nitrate. which someone off the street cant buy "u need a special licence" i think u will find it also hard for anyone...

i think u might be thinking of something else waitaki as these are quite large and easy to remove from the tank if u want them gone.

these have been getting round in the LFS in Adelaide for a while. they are easy to grow and multiply pretty quick. i took them out of my tank cause they were shading all my other plants too much....

from what iv'e read about 28c is about the lowest u want to really go with discus, 24c is too low. i recently read about someone keeping discus at 24c and he recons there ok, but ur opening urself up...

there are a few shop locally that u can get good fish if ur lucky and the timing is right, but in all honesty i think ur better off looking to some of the sponsers of discus forums ur probably going...
