This happened to me, and the little fry started trying to eat off the side off the bigger fry because it was dark and they thought it was its parent !! Resulted in the bigger fry getting rather...

1) You Don't do 90% water changes, and if you claim you do , im pretty sure you would be lying. Breeders who do it full time would, maybe... but if you were doing that...

Put it this way , of you add a canister filter to that tank with those 2 fish in , the cycling process will kill them any way so the choice is yours

You clearly say above, that you dont have a filter on it....
I clearly say here, that if your not careful, they WILL die... not that you have killed any already nor that you will... just that...

The question wasn't about your planted tank with a filter attached to it, it was about the other tank, which has fish in ... which are stunted due to the fact you DONT have a filter attached to it.

Bloody hell.... the rate their going your not gonna have enough time to buy a filter , let alone cycle the damn thing..... theyll be dead ?!!?

Can you get a picture ??? Are they swimming around normally other wise?? If they have whitespot , then a simple treatment from the shop will clear that up in no time. I think waterlife do one...

The nitrate removal sponger in your internal juwel filter wont remove algae, and im not convinced it lowers nitrates either !
Is your tank near a window? and how long do you have your tank...

You end up getting some powedery residue on the bottom no matter how well you mixed it up. If you can give it a bit more of a mix without upsetting your fish it can't hurt... just dont do more harm...

ILLUSN... I've used cyclops on some fry , it worked quite well, but it was slightly too big for them for their first couple of days of free swimming, so perhaps you would need some BBS or rotifers...

1ml/1gram per 25 gallons of water (A flat teaspoon equals 5mls and will treat a tank of up to 125 gallons)

It would be difficult to house her elsewhere unless she went in the display tank, but a fish of her size would completely overshadow everyone else.... it may be ok ....
