Ive got blue rams and balloon rams in 2 different tanks with discus and have never had any trouble great fish.

Every time I use prazi I get a ammonia spike which takes about 5-6 days to go away so it must be killing some of the bacteria.

I agree the Hydor heaters work way better.

After worming and then cleaning canister filter if I worm again after a week as suggested should I then clean the filter again.

Yes, my filter was fully cycled before I started, the tank has been running for around 9 months now. And yes, there are those rotten cone shaped snails hanging around.

I used aqua-worm[praziquantel]1 tablet per 20L as per directions,I didnt clean the filter afterwards.I have been doing 50% daily water changes the last 4 days adding prime & nitrivec with .25ppm...

have just wormed discus now i have an ammonia spike, suspect the filter is dead has anyone had this happen thanks.
