This saratoga is usually fed the leftovers of my beefheart mix which have been already thawed out. I hang the spoon over the tank and it will jump up to get it. As I could not feed and take pictures...

Just a thought. Maybe with the higher cost of living. Most hobbyist no longer have the disposable income to spend on Discus. So most aquariums are not willing to invest in quality fish. Here in WA...

re-pairing can be done quite easily. I change pairs quite frequently. However there are a few occasions when a stubborn fish just refuses to breed with another.

Hi poimaster,
I have been having the same problem as you are. I use a TDS meter and the water reading of my tap water fluctuates between 210 ppm and 450 ppm. When the water is 250 - 450 ppm my...

I do feed beefheart mix but when I have no time to do a water change I feed dried food instead to avoid fouling the water.

Thanks Ben & Samir
I have been using tetra bits but with 100+ discus to feed I have been on the lookout for a cheaper alternative. Will get the bulk pack then.

Hi Merrilyn,
May I know when and how you feed the fry food? I followed the instructions but in my tank they just fall to the bottom where my fry just don't seem interested. I have discus fry that...

MAC,
I would certainly be interested in getting some good stock for breeding. I am finding it very difficult to get good quality discus here in Austalia.
