Nice fish, with wild cross you're always going to get some differing shapes, to me that's what makes them interesting.

Sounds great, I might have to look into it.
I've recently changed food to the new Aussie Blackworm pellets and my fish seem to be getting fatter and growing quicker too.

- 6 or 8 discus? I'll probably get all of 1 type, hopefully F1s. I'm thinking 6 to keep it less crowded (visually and for stocking level), but my LFS thinks 8 might reducing bullying in the group....

My thoughts:
1. Checkout Aquatico, they stock Forrest discus (well known breeder), I'd get all 8 at once and all mature fish, will cost you more $ up front but they're hardier and more chance of...

I've decided to sell up, not in a hurry as I am looking for a good home and somebody who will take the lot, discus, main tank, hospital tank, stands, hood, light, drums, everything.
If you're...

Very interested to see your results. As I have 2 canisters do you think I'd need 1 for each canister?

Big water change, plant prune and filter clean day. New plants have settled in well with minimal die back.

Yes Aquatico Aquarium is the new name. They're doing a 30% off opening special on all discus at the moment...
I plan to drop in on Friday to get the details, not so long ago they were named...

I had a discus with a similar cut the other week. The only thing I did, other than the usual water changes, was to add IAL to the water. The discus appears ok now.

Dropped into Sunnyside this arvo to check out their new shipment. The Forrest discus just get better and better. They have some amazing discus in stock at the moment. I didn't buy any discus but I...

I also use Prime for my main tank, I don't know if it is the smell but it does seem harsh. I used API Stress Coat+ in the hospital tank with good results, I am considering swapping the main tank to...

I've nursed these discus back to full health, they didn't do well with my existing discus. I don't want to put them back in the display tank if they're going to be bullied and not eat again. $150 for...

Agreed Ghoti, I thought he was gone too. The big test will be when he has to fight for food in the main tank. I plan to grow him out a bit longer in the hospital tank to give him a better chance of...

Amazing what a bit of TLC will do.
I moved him to a hospital tank, 30 degrees, IAL, daily 50% water changes with API Stress Coat, 1 dose of Blue Planet fluke and tape worm tablets.

Any idea why one of my discus has started to continually 'peck' at the driftwood?

The discus in the hospital tank is coming good, he's still only eating small amounts and is very timid.

Tank shot as it is today, after a water change and new Val (I melted the old Val with Excel)
I've also moved the 'sick' fish to a hospital tank. He has lightened up but won't eat. I am going to...
