Hi guys. This is my first apisto spawn. My german bred tris have produced two spawns so far. I have six fry from their first spawn and around 40 eggs from the second spawn. They are still very young, so I'm hoping for a few more live fry from this batch.

are they in the same tank?

if they are the elder fry will eat the new batch
you would be best to seperate them

congratulations on them , trifasciata are still one of my favourite apisto's

Thank you so much for that warning Andrew. I'll move the older fry out :P They would certainly be old enough to eat the tiny fry.

I've had first hand experience with older fry eating newly hatched (with baenschi, pucallpaensis, agassizi), never leave the older fry in once they've spawn again.
