I am considering a few community involvement schemes for members to participate in or contribute to.

Why??? well I strongly believe, you can only get out something once you have put in, whether that be in time, effort, thought or financial contributions.

So, as a collective why not hand the hat around so to say and make donation to a worthwhile cause.

My first thoughts are with the World Wide Fund for Nature, where we could actually adopt an endangered marine species
such as Valerie the grey Nurse Shark, or one of there other worthwhile causes...Valerie the grey nurse shark (http://www.wwf.org.au/How_you_can_help/Check_out_the_WWF_shop/animal_adoptions.php)

With only 300-500 grey nurse sharks left on the east-coast of Australia, Valerie is a critically endangered species. Although she has sharp teeth, she is a harmless and gentle creature and lives in our shallow coastal waters.

Maybe you can think of another good recipient of this, maybe I am wasting my time, I dont know... tell me what you think, but if we agree that this would be beneficial I will kick start the fund raising drive by donating $100

(this will be a combined effort in conjunction with all the other ADN websites)

Well mate you can only try if anyone has any other deserving efforts, please post them.

Hopefully people can help out, as this is our hobby wether it be discus or a 100kg shark, all creatures big and small deserve a go.
