my rams have been feeling a bit blue.... :D
two chicks, no bloke.
they have been spawning once a week and looking after and defending the eggs for three or for days before I notice them disappear.

I have found one small juvenile male ( I think ).

can you see any prob. with one male two females in a community tank?
both females are a lot larger than he and seem to be more aggressive.

he seems to be hiding from both, but then will come out and do his pathetic juvenile best to display to one and then run away and hide again.

any comments appreciated as I haven`t had any experience with rams prev.

thanx

I'm under the impression that Rams form lasting pair bonds in that the pair will drive away the other competition.
Maybe he is the equivalent of a teenage flasher  but when he gets bigger and more impressive the females will compete with each other to be his partner.

Think it might have something to do with the size or dimension of the tank? I couldn't keep more than 1 mature adult breeding pair in a 29 gal tank (131 l). JME
