Pretty sure that one's a Red Alenquar - I have a fish I got from OAFI in Melbourne that's almost identical.

You fish in my opinion is possibly a varient of this type.


Its Crossed with a solid red in my opinion. I have friends that call them red roses. such as these in the second pic redrose jpg

whatever the case its a lovely combination of colours and strains.

Looks like a red alenquer to me - but whatever it is, its a damn nice fish and I wish he was swimming around in my tank!

to be honest bill you probably wont.

with so much cross breeding the variations are endless.

Breed them and lets see what the kids look like, then we may be able to gain a proper understanding of what strains these guys came from.

Fifteen months on, the colour of that fish still fascinates me.

I do believe it's a Red Alenquer, but I'm not 100% sure.

We haven't heard from Billydiscus in a while. Wonder if he still has the fish.
