Remember the pics of my 200L tank (http://www.discusforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=718) from a few days ago? Not long after taking those pics, I discovered it was leaking. The front left silicon seem was opening up. 36 hours later I managed to more all the plants and discus from the 200L to my (then) unused 5x2x2 show tank.

Thankfully the move went fairly smoothly, and there were no losses.

Here are a few pics I took tonight of the 5x2x2.

it that pool sand you are useing?Yep. "Grade B1 Pool filter sand" $10/20kg. Larger than beach sand, not sharp. Pure silica sand.

where did you get that orange/yellow fella??
Very nice fish.Wetpetz in Brisbane. He was one of 5 or so from the same spawn of a local breeder. He had the best shape and the least peppering of the bunch.

nice fish chris,

the tank should look great when the plants fill out some,

do you have a co2 injector on the tank?

nice planting scheme too, good positioning of plants.

the tank should look great when the plants fill out some,I've got stem plants all along the back, and two side walls that should grow out in a couple of months.

do you have a co2 injector on the tank?I've got all the electronics, I just have to get a Co2 tank.

Here's a checkerboard I got today. It was a little difficult to photo as the other discus kept getting in the way.

I've added black tape to the top (1") and bottom (2") on my tank. I think it gives a nice effect for only a few dollars.

nothing nicer than a well stocked planted tankThanks. You wouldn't think there are 12 discus in there by the latest shot. I'm beginning to think I've given them too many places to hide.

Love the tank ! Very nice light =)Thanks.

I've thinned out the left side a little (you'd hardly notice looking front-on) and the discus seem to be out more. I think my theory might hold water.

Here's an updated view of my tank. I've rearranged the tank completely, throwing out about 50 stem plants. Now I've got a single line of stem plants along the back wall with a lot more swimming space for the discus.

Since thinning out the plants, I've noticed the discus are out much more.

Thanks. A quick wipe on the front glass with an algae magnet every couple of days, a vacuum once a week, and 2x 30% water changes each week.

That is just beautiful - congratulations.
Thanks.

I'm really happy with the tank now. While before it was more of a water garden, I think I tilted the scales too far in favour of the plants vs the discus.

I think I've got a happy balance now, so I can enjoy both the plants, and fish.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
