how warm do I want the water?

people have told me all different types... It is at 80 right now. I still think that is to cold cause they have not been very active. any help ? thanks

You need at least 82 for them to be happy and healthy.

I set mine at 87+ because most nasty stuff will not be able handle anything over 86.

i keep mine at 29-30C which is about 86 i think

30 is 86 and thats where i keep mine too, they seem much happier around there or a little higher

Discus certainly do better in warmer water. I keep my tanks at about 30 degrees. Fry tanks at 32 degrees.
