Not that mine are up to this stage yet, but what ways are there to trigger spawning? I've herd of placing a candle next to the tank to immitate moon light and also (as with most fish) regular water changes. Maybe people could mention methods they use??? Just out of interest :)

a water change with cooler water always seems to induce spawning with my new pair, worked last sunday and i just did one then so we will see the results soon. On sunday i did the water change and whitin 5 hours they were spawning.

cooler water changes
dim lighting
romantic music
flowers...lol.....
only kidding with the muscis and flowers, but i have heard the others can help to trigger spawning.

but, i think that if you have the right water conditions fish will spawn without being prompted to. add some peat moss to your breeders tank to help provide great breeding conditions.
