with new stronger water resitrictions in place and the very low dam water levels i want to do my part at saving water. my problem is i currently use approx 70ltrs of water every day doing w/c. i just got two new tanks and i am looking at a potential 150 - 200 ltrs of water a day in w/c.

i use the discarded water to water the garden...but a lot still goes down the drain.

does anyone have any water saving tips and tricks??? i do not want to skimp on water changes or reduce the water quality for my discus...so you see my dillema.

any advice people???

I was looking at nitrate filters being made the other day and was thinking of putting one together, not only to put one on a tank but too also re-use water. Is there anything else that would have to be removed other than nitrate to re-use the water. ?? Of course ammonia/nitrite if present.
