Hi Everybody,

I'm currently in the design stages of a 6ft long X 2ft wide X 2.5ft high Discus display tank. I've decided that i want to go a moderate to high planted aquarium along with driftwood. I also want to line the back and sides with a fake rock to simulate a natural environment. Does anybody know of any companies that offer this product at a reasonable price? also does anybody have any photos of aquariums that have this product installed?

Regards

I have some of this latex rock product in one of my tanks. It's not the sheeting that you use to cover the walls of the tank, it's more of a ridge creating an amphitheatre type area in the middle of the tank. I personally think these products look very good, but they are obviously $$$ intensive.

I have had the type that you use to line the back wall of the tank and i think it's the best thing going around if you want to make the tank look less like 'a tank'. I'll see if i can find some old photo's.

I dont know if these people ship to aus, but they do make some spectacular backgrounds (for a pretty penny!)

They look nice, but very expensive...and even more so when converting the dollar.

You can the back drops that are made from styrofoam which are generally used for reptiles.

But the latex ones are nice too. I use them in 2 of my tanks...pricy yes but effective. I brought a 3ft for about $70. You can buy these in most LFS. http://www.universalrocks.com.au/aquarium.htm
