filtering peat

hello was just wondering if iput an internal cannister filter in my water storage cantainer and filled it with peat would that be better for my fish. cheers :D matt.

it is a good idea but a whole filter filled with peat will make the water VERY soft. is there a huge need for peat?

you shouldn't need to go to that extreme

i would buy another tank and use the canister on that LOL

just a stocking with some peat in it should be good :wink:
