When we leave tap water in containers for 24hrs with sunlight all the chlorine is meant to evapourate now, using declorinator treatmeants this takes out chlorine and detoxifies heavy metals.
Not that I wont stop using Tap water conditioners im just woundering how important this stuff is, if most of the chlorine evapourates,(because weve left the water in containers for a couple of days) and we dont really know how much conditioners to use as tap water in Adelaide varies all the time :!: As most states do unless your using RO water.
I overdose with conditioner to make sure the water is OK.
The Question im asking if water is left to age naturally, do we still need water conditioners :?:

Yes you do chris as airating the water in a water aging barrel gets rid of chlorine it will not get rid of heavy metals and chloramines i just use it as the instructions say no more or less.

additives such as chloramines, copper, etc, dont dissipate like chlorine does.

You will either have to wait weeks, or use an additive
