hi there -

the driftwood in my tank has always had a healthy crop of that furry dark algae - almost black - but recently it's started getting a little too healthy, despite regular water changes, etc etc...

what fish (discus-conditions friendly of course) would people recommend to eat it? or, failing that, what chemical? naturally i'd much rather go with nature first... any suggestions most welcome.

thanks,

justin

Sounds like BBA (Black Bearded Algea) Id have to see a photo too be sure but from the discription its sounds like this.
The only fish that will touch this stuff is a SAE and even then they might not clear out the whole tank of it, depending on how much there is.
Anyway do a search on BBA and see what fish will eat it, i could be wrong but i think its only SAE's and even they dont eat much of it.

Cheers
Scott
