Hey all,
just curious what other pets you guys and gal's keep besides our beloved discus?

I keep an 18yr old Hungarian girl (hehe my girlfriend would kill me if she saw that),
and two burmese cats, mother and son...

Interested to hear what other pets we all keep,
regards,
Benny

Wow what a list...
Put me down for 2 Jack Russells. Better half did not like my suggested names "Cuff and Link" so "Sammy and Molly" they are, so far they have scared the neighborhood, eaten the curtains, chewed the cushions, and many other tricks, Regards Col.

I'll add to this thread.

Please meet my two lovely cats. They are brother and sister, about 4 years old now. The guy with the bunny is Scampy, he is a born hunter, and comes home with dinner on a regular basis. It can be a rabbit, pigeon or water bird, as well as mice. He tends not to share his catch, and never leaves anything, and i mean anything.
The regal looking one is Smudgy, she is a more delicate cat, half the size of her brother, but very agile and quick. She also hunts, but small garden birds, mice and voles. lol, I don't have to feed them much lol
I love them dearly, and they are good listeners.

Hollowman :)

Im trying to convince my 4 year old to let me get a puppy but she wont let me. Hang on...arent i the parent?

Hi Hollowman,

Skinks are lizards like the common grass skink or Blue tongue lizard. There are 389 species of skink in Australia and skinks are the largest family of lizards in the world. About half of them are in Oz.

This is Tinker, my intended work dog. She is a cross breed and was intended to help around the house. But then she got fat and lazy when we got foxtel and watches Alf re-runs all day. She loves potato bake, coke and pretzels. She's a keen back chatter and has a disgruntled attitude.

This is her with her recent litter.

My Bernese Mountain Dog boy & Pug girl.

The red Border Collie in the same gallery was my last dog.

These 2 are taking up a lot of time & attention that were previously lavished on the fish. But I still think they're worth it!

We moved to Brisbane in November last year from Perth. I've seen green tree frogs before, but nothing like this one. I nearly drove over him coming home from work on night. I thought he was a cane toad. I swerved to miss him and notice this green tinge as I passed him. He's settled in well and lives on a healthy diet of live crickets and cockroaches from the local pet shop.

We've called him Hervey.

AHC

We have three children. I sometimes contemplate sticking them in there when they drive me nuts. The missus has crossed my mind too.

...hope she doesn't read this post...

We feed him the largest crickets and cockroaches (woodies) you can buy. He's a real character and always a talking point when we have people over.

We live in two story house. The frog is downstairs. One morning I walked out of my bedroom (upstairs) to find him sitting outside the bedroom door. Scared the pants of me. Then I realised he'd made it from one side of the ground floor to the other and up a flight of stairs to get to our bedroom door. Amazing. Aussie Ninja Turtle.

More pics to give you more of an idea how big he is.
