That is a cool set up, are you running to sponge filters in that top tank with the pair in it, and with the babies do they have gravel in them :?:

Dont use sponge filter ,just a corner box with noddle ect with wool on top.Just a thin layer of sand and no filter (bio)just some box filter with some ammo-lock and wool again in the two middle tanks which I do 1/3 water change a day on them.The bottom has some gravel in it with a cannister filter on it and more or less clean the bottom bewteen 3 and 5 day 10% water change.Just did this to see if they grew quicker way or the other.P.s they where bare bottom when the babies where smaller.

Left side tanks are 3 footers /right are 4 footers and the bottoms 6 foot so 100l, 180l and 300l. Babies have been move to a 420 6 footer now as there 8 month old now and starting to grow so I given them some more swimming space. Also I had Fish pairing so now I have 1pair in each of the 3s two pair 4 footer,all the other larger discus in bottom tank and the tank with the light off has some small discus I swap A bloke amonth ago.
