I have one male betta and one female in two diffrent container, but i put them facing together. From what i heard, when the male producing lots of bubbles on the water surface, you put the female in, and they will breed. But when i put the female in, the male starting to hit the female. What should i do ??

Any ideas, opinions ?? I just bought them for fun ^^

Thanks everyone

Time for you to pay a little visit to Australian Betta Forums. There you will find all the information you need, as well as some familiar faces

Bettas believe in rough love. It is fairly normal for the male to beat up the female before spawning.

Before you breed them, there is something you should know. The males in the spawn cannot stay in a tank together after the age of about 6 weeks. They begin fighting amongst themselves, so they all have to go in separate jars till they can be sold at around 12 weeks. Quite a big job when they can have 200 fry in a spawning, and about half of those will be males.
