I'm going to try breeding again, hopefully I'll have more luck this time.
I have 2 tanks spare one is a 30x14x18 and the other is a 48x24x24.
I'm thinking of putting a pair in the large 48x24x24 tank. If they have fry then I'll just leave the fry in the large tank and move the parents to the 30x14x18 tank.
Is a 48x24x24 tank to large for a breeding pair and has anybody else been successful breeding in a large tank.

Oscar, personally I'd use the smaller tank for spawning. I find the babies take too long to attach to the parents in a big tank with lots of distractions. Your four footer will be an ideal grow out tank for the fry once they have some size on them.

Also makes it easier too do regular water changes on a smaller tank...

Thanks, I thought it might be to big. I've just set the small tank up and will add some filter wool etc from an established tank to help speed up the cylce.

Thanks.. Oscar
