just starting out but what is the general water temperture for discus I would like to get as close as I can to 83+ thanks tacks

28-29oC i believe, which is around 80-83oF

In General Discus love the temps around 85-86 degrees.

Mine are in 86F. They get sluggish and stressed if the temp gets below 84F.

its really interesting because Amano spawned wild caught browns and kept them beautifully coloured at 26 degrees... I was very surprised..

Anyway I will keep my tank at about 27 degrees.
