View Full Version : Do Ventral Fins grow back? What affect on price if missing?

Hi,

Sorry if this is a really dumb question but I'm new to Angels and still researching.

A LFS has some Angels for sale and whilst they are striking fish and look healthy, all three only have one Ventral Fin. Watching them today, there was some aggro between two of them so not sure if this is as a result of fighting or poor transit.

I'm still looking at other LFS alternatives further afield but was wondering whether this fin grows back?

If it is missing, should I avoid buying at all? Alternatively, if it is safe to buy should I ask for a reduction in price and if so how much?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

as mate said Nope, usually if the hard spines of any fin are lost the fin wont grow back

Thanks for the responses. Will avoid temptation to go back and haggle price.

Can you recommend anywhere to get good quality Angels from. Struggling on NSW Central Coast and looking further afield.

Hi,

Thanks. That is good to know for in the future. I'm not looking for any fish now.

Cheers,

Chris
