Spawning

I must be dreaming My discus is spawning she is puting her Egss on long PVC pipe......but i dontknow why one big male is coming and eating the eggs what should i do to protect eggs?

You say she is laying them. So does she have a partner who helped here or is the partner the one who ate them?

Do you have more than 2 discus in the tank?

Tell us a bit more and we may be able to answer better. Maybe some water parameters and setup information would also help. You may even find the problem in doing so.

They may be a young pair and need to just "learn" the life of parenting. As with most Cichlids when they lay eggs, they usually first few trys, will eat the eggs and hopefully in turn will learn.
Some remove the eggs, but as that is done, the Discus never learn to parent...So, I would just let them be until they get it right.

The eggs are all eaten by another Big male....i m so sad....anyways i m happy that i have atleast 1 breeding loving pair
