well my ocean green this morning has a white growth over one eye and being attacked by the other fish in the tank so i put it in another tank and put some salt in the tank and rasied the temp to 30

I checked the main tank water and its fine but i did a 30% water change anyway.

before i went to work it seems that the growth is only a little bit there but still off its food

So have i done the right thing and will it be blind in the one eye?

That sounds horrible, was this ocean green the weaker fish in the tank how big was he in comparision to the rest, how long has he been of his food,
Sounds like a good move to isolate him.

I have had them recover completely from an eye injury like that. Yes, you have certainly done the right thing by placing him in a clean tank with salt in the water. The most important thing is to keep the water very clean, because you dont want any problems with bacterial infection while the eye is healing.

These eye injuries can look more serious than they really are, so don't panic. Most heal up nicely within a couple of weeks, and leave no trace.

Glad to hear it. Wait till the eye is fully healed before you return him to the main tank.
