Just when I thought I'd given discus the slip, I stumbled across these guys today. Probably 8-10cm tip to tail to give some scale.
I call them Yellow Faced Orangey Black Tail Penangacondas. :?

very nice fish - how real is the blue on the gills?

The blue on the gills does look a bit funny in the pics. Not sure why. It was a N95 with no flash, no picture touch ups or anything. Probably not as fluro as the photo suggests but still noticable

If you put them into a tank ith light substrate etc I would bet the black pigmentation in the fins would go.

Yeah I'm not sure that it would. And I quite liked the dark fins. Gave a bit of contrast to how vibrant the rest of their colours were.

Well I guess time will tell.

It happened to my red melon when I moved it from my 6ft with ADA to a 2ft bare bottom QT tank. Kinda don't want to move it back but I know it would like the extra space.
