Hello

I looking at breeding discus and im currently searching for decents suppliers of discus,either wholesalers or private breeders.
Does Astralian Discus Breeders and D&V Discus breeders still exist.

Any reccommendations would be helpful.
I want good quality stock and a variety of strains.Some bread and butter strains and exotics.
LFS with inflated prices need not try and sell to me as i can buy wholesale as i have a marine LFS but planning to expand into discus.

First of all, where abouts are you, that may make things easier in determining what is available...

Oxheart on here is a recognised breeder with quality stock, and Kevkoi is a very good contact regarding exoctics and direct imports from Penang...

I am sure if you advice exactly what you are after someone here will have what you want... or be able to get it at reasonable prices...

normal strains like turks and more exotics like red melon etc.. Not 100% wanting certain strains more looking for nice coloration and quality and good prices.

I am in central west NSW in the Orange area.

Yes I can ship discus to you for as little as $18.00/ box ( freight) via couriers please ( next day ).

Australian Bred Discus are easier to handle than some of the fresh imports.
Be carefull of the common pitfalls with imported discus ,which include the potential plague etc.
These are real concerns from imported fish and have costed many people I know including myself (in the past) thousands.

He also breeds himself. I will send you his details.

"Just my 2 cents" but watch out for penang fever, :cry: I know an importer here on the gold coast who imports from "Kitti Phanaitthi" Thailand (supplier is prone to this disease) He(importer) lost a couple of hundred discus on his last shipment. :shock:
