Does anybody use such software for their tanks.....?

I was after a simple database to track tank parameters ver pics of tank and fish for a given period. and obviously chart parameters and calculate CO2 etc etc

There are a couple, one I tested myself over a year ago, I cant remember the name, but I am sure someone else out there knows it... (one is freeware, the other costs approx US$29)

I use Aquarix to keep track of my tanks - http://www.aquarix.com

Works really well IMO - you can download a demo and try it yourself.

I wanted a simpler application ! More of a tank album with a split screen. Lower section having a time line with pictures across the bottom with time and the top half showing water parameter data and maybe a colour coded notes "icon" which when clicked would display any notes recorded in the database.

IF there is no such software out there maybe a couple of us could get together and create a database application that we can all share.

Does anybody have the formula and associated lookup tables for pH /KH ver CO2. I know I can get tables easily off the web however if someone had this as a free apllication (ie in excel) it would be good.

Hey Sutto...thanks for the link I'll have a browse of AusFish as I have never really ventured out of discusforums. I took a look at the link and it does look like a very comprehensive database.

I did log everything in Excel when I first started. Then it just got boring as water parameters did not change that much from week to week. Thus I am not diligent enough to keep up a database and I especially don't need to track costs !!! (although that may change if I can ever get my fish to breed !)

What I do know is I like looking at how my tank and fish have changed over time thus combining a photo album style application with water parameters and notes I believe this would be more appealing long term. Get the database to be uploaded to a web portal and share your tanks life-line. Really suited to planted tanks I suppose..maybe I should go and find a plant forum instead of this Bare Bottomed forum :)
