Very nice Proteus. I have a pair too, and ppl often ask why we got a pair of 'plain' white looking discus... but when they see them in the flesh they change their minds! ;)

Lets just say the supplier added another few to the same tank (origin - same tank, previous tank mates). Within 2 Days, all fish were gone.

:(

That was whilst I was in the U.S.

Apparently the water was fine, and after a complete tank tear down all fish in there are fine.

Whilst QT is a normal practice there, would you think getting fish from the same supplier, that were previously together in the same tanks would have been a problem... not really, but something went horribly wrong.

I so want a White Swan pair again... (in my own tanks)

Pro that is no good mate.

I assume you want a pair that big again :)

I was going to add that they are/where some very nice looking fish.

Hope you can find more soon

Mate, so sad to hear it.
They were beautiful.
I was hoping you had picked them up before that happened, but when you had said they were spawning i was fairly sure they must have been wiped out with the rest in that tank, because i remember there was a spawning pair that died with the rest.

If it helps, out of the next batch that they got in, i brought a little solid blue and two largish red turqs and both have been perfectly healthy, happy speciemens for at least a month now.

Wayne and Rebecca at Xtreme are great people and look after their customers. Russell is good to chat to about discus too!!

Update...

I have a new White Swan pair.

*w00t*

For the time being they are in my main display tank, however down the track I will put them in there own tank for breeding purposes.

Within 16hrs of being placed in the tank they are already spawning.

Proteus,

They look great. I seriously thought about buying them yestarday but the other half (she who will be obeyed) did not like the look of them. She wants Albino's or Yellow's and I stupidly promised her that she could pick the next discus.

Keep the pics coming and thanks again for the crushed coral.

Dave.
