Hi all, I am just about to put some dividers in an 8' tank and was thinking about doing it to enable me to plumb it to a sump at some point in time. I was wondering what people thought would be best for waterflow etc. Initally I am just going to have sponge filters in each section but I want to make it so I can cange if required without a lot of hassle. Could you please let me know which one (or something different) would be better.

Thanks

As long as water is entering at one end and exiting at the other you will have waterflow through each section, it just depends on where you want the water to flow.

If the flowthrough on each divider is up high you will probably find a lot of detritus buildup on the base due to very little flow.

My advice would be to silicone a thin section of eggcrate on the base at the intervals you like, then silicone glass on top of this to the height of the tank. This would ensure the water would flow along the base and keep the tank relatively clean.
