I'm starting to think these are dicrozoster. Anyone agree? You can see a faint opercular mark in the first photo. It was darker this morning, but i never seem to catch it in a photo

Very hard to tell at that size but the fourth vertical bar on Dicrozoster comes up into a Y shape. The majority of fish that are labelled and sold as Dicrozoster are in actual fact Abalios. Still trying to locate true Dicrozoster myself?

hmm.. now i look closer, the Y (in the 2nd photo) is on the 3rd bar so probably not dicrozoster.. I don't think Abalios either, as there is an opercular mark which i have yet to catch clearly in a photo

7 bars, 4th passes through the black spot, 4th also links to the 5th bar and you've also noticed a preopercular black mark... I'm pretty confident its a dicrozoster :)

Good eye's Brendan,i didn't even notice that. I wasn't saying that they were Abalios. Looking at the point that Brendan pointed out they might just be Dicrozoster. :)
