dwarf forums have been a bit quiet of late so I thought I would post a couple of pics.
sorry about the quality but it is really hard to get photos when they are in a large, heavily planted, community tank.

Nice healthy val you got there bushie.

I'd show some pics of my little guys but they're all dead. That's what happens when you mix weekends away binge drinking with hot apartments and no air con.

sorry to hear about that robdog.

not the binge drinking and weekends away, thats just par for the course and I would of been dissapointed with you otherwise.

but losing the little ones sucks.
any ideas why?

I just can`t see temps alone knocking them off. :?
our air con blew up about three weeks ago and of course the last three weeks have been the hottest this summer.
temps have got up over forty and it doesn`t seem to lift the tank temp too much.
mind you that could just be the house( double brick and tile, insulated) probably makes a big difference.

Bushie, I'm impressed with that male Krib you've got there. Pic 3 shows him with some of the best colouring I've seen.

Sorry to hear about your fish Rob. These little guys seem pretty darn fragile.

My pairs are still going strong, but no new babies on the horizon.

I had 2 girls in my main tank which are doing fine. The temp in there hasn't been over about 29 all summer. All my others are in little cube tanks in another room which cops a bit of arvo sun.
My Dicrossus Filamentosus went first before I even got home. Next I found my panduro pair gasping and disorientated. Quick wc and crossed fingers. She swelled up a bit and died and he is still moping around. Then my male Orange Flash upped and died.
I can't win at the moment. If anyone wants a female cacatuoides and baenschi or a male panduro let me know.

he didn`t look sick or anything.

From those photos he looks like he might have had an advanced case of "blur"

At least you don't have to worry about finding a female for him now. Still a shame though

Has been a while since my last photo update - these are just taken tonight, not fantastic (as the fish tend to hide) soon followed by flat battery.

These are best I could do for now (taken over an hour and chose the best one)

My Borelli Opal fry have grown a bit bigger since the last pic :)

Do they look roughly the correct size after one week free swimming?

Nice shots of the T-bars Th0mas. When are those guys normally sexable?

Think it is getting closer now, it's been a while since hatching. Just saw another batch in the pot (probably hatched 2 days ago) today, didn't have the camera ready and had to leave for work. Probably an update shot in a day or two.

Do any of them look like becoming anything like the pic on page 1001 in the Atlas?? :)

Difficult to say - the parent is F0 and the male is not as colourful. Hopefully there's something in the female's side to make them better looking.

A couple are starting to show colour already, and do have better colour than dad.
