This is my son's new African Tank. I hope you like the pictures.

The fish (all juveniles) he has are:-
6 Electric Yellows
3 Electric Blues (not coloured up)
1 Venustus
1 Tretrocephalus
1 Crimson Tide
1 Pleco

Not all the electric yellows or blues will be permanent residents and as they mature, decisions will be made about who to keep.

He will probably add another couple of fish, but not decided on what.

It's probably not a bio type tank, but in real life, it is very nice looking. The only thing I wouldn't have in the tank, is the dried stem coral - but what the heck, it's how how he likes it that counts. The other rocks are not rocks, they are old dead coral, meant to help with the hardness & pH. The fish seem to like all the hidey holes, found naturally in the dead coral/rock and also those created by the placement of the coral/rock. We hope they are happy with their home.

Close up of the right hand side, showing the Tretrocephalus (left), electric blue (middle) and Crimson Tide (right). At least these are the names given by LFS? If you know better, please tell us.

Nice tank TW.
In this shot I think that looks like a Venustas on the right, not the crimson thingo. Could be wrong

this look's like a clayton's marine tank ... he'll be getting into full marine soon. usually, when people ask me questions on how they should set up a tank, one of the things I say is that if they like a marine setup without the huge costs, then a riftlake tank is about as close as they can get without going full marine. also it's sustainable, as opposed to almost all the live fish and coral taken off the reefs with only a very very few species of fish being breedable for hobbyists ... (I'm all for realistic resin corals, why not!) ...

cool looking tank :)
