How do you tell out if a discus is an adult or juvenile? Size? If so, what size does a discus generally become an adult, or is treated as an adult?

I want to get adult discus, so that I dont have to do the hell of alot of water changes, but I dont want to spend out of my arse getting big huge discus that are fully grown lol. If discus are only considered adult once fully grown, then it looks as if ill pay out of my arse!

LOL interesting terminology.

I think you can safely say that once a discus is three inches or more (excluding the tail) it will be classed as an adult or sub-adult.

Anyway, point being, it's well past the juvenile stage, and should just continue to grow as it ages.

Remember to look for a small eye on a large discus. That's a sign of good quick growth.
